Love Story

Meet Carl. He's a 37 years old male, working in Chicago for a big software company, as a programmer.

As far as he got until now, in life, he encountered the experience of some long-termed relationships, to be more concrete, three, which finally ended more or less because of his lack of time and his loyalty and passion for his work. Nevertheless he always dreamed of having a family, but along the years, he got older and his dream faded.

Little did he know that the work he's been doing for almost since he could remember - which was mostly the reason for his love-life failure - would someday, actually today, bring him the answer to his issues regarding love.

One day he got the project of programming an online dating site. Must precise, he didn't believe in such things as virtual love. He did the project and forgot about it.

A year ago, out of curiosity, he browsed the pages of the site he programmed a couple of years ago and found himself intrigued and trapped into this mystique way of knowing people. He created an account and gladly wrote a summary about himself. He waited... No answers, no feedbacks, no good matches, yet...

252.04 miles away, in a smaller city named Cincinnati, meet Kirstin, a 34 years old female, running a small catering business.

She's a divorced mother of 2 children - 9-year-old Sam and his 7-year-old brother Patrick - which didn't pay much attention to her love-life after her divorce, 5 years ago. She tried it once, with an employee of hers, but didn't last long because as things were getting a little bit more serious, it occurred that he couldn't deal that well with children and Kirsten couldn't let such a person into her and her children's life.

Half a year ago, at her best friend's proposal, she tried to find a partner over an online dating site without any luck until this one day...

On the 3rd of April, after work, both of the characters went home and out of an impulse logged in on their accounts. To their surprise they both had a new match. Filled with a new hope, they looked at each other's profile and read with much interest. It seemed to be a perfect match.

Carl decided to write a message to Kirsten, and so their contact started. Both of them didn't sleep that night. Over the next months to come, many sleepless nights followed, until one day Kirsten came with the idea that they should meet; Carl approved more than happy as he thought of that many times but was too shy to ask.
