It's much wiser to learn from other's mistakes than to go through a painful experience and learn from it. Some might disagree, because they feel one can only learn by experiencing something and realizing the mistakes by suffering. No doubt that is an effective way of learning, but isn't it more costly too? In fact, some mistakes are so costly that it requires a life time to pay for it but life is for once and is it worth wasting the entire life paying for some mistakes that we didn't think properly before committing? Well, not at all!
We all love to visualize a perfect life with no room for hardship or misery in it and that is how it should be. In reality that's a tough challenge and requires us to be cautious so we can avoid mistakes and make our life a perfect fairy tale that we have always dreamt of. An inexpensive way of creating your perfect fairy tale life is by learning from others sad stories. What do we normally do when we hear someone's sad story, read sad books and articles or watch a sad movie? We generally somehow try to link it with our lives and see the similarity we have with it. Let's not stop there but move a step further and be smart enough to fit in the lessons we have learned in our lives. That would be the success of life.
Sad stories are often heart wrecking and very grievous. It's unfortunate that some people has to go through such bitter experience in life but at least those of us who are fortunate to be happy in life can take lessons from them and be gratified for the happiness that many of us are blessed with. Sad stories have lot in it to teach us. It tells us how not to take a decision without proper thinking, how to judge others, how not to just trust and rely on anyone and everyone, how not to lose someone who loves you and is not worth loosing, how to value your loved ones while they are there, how not to mess up your life making one wrong move and so on. Its immense list of benefits is unending!
Not only does it help those who come to know about the sad stories but it also gives a different type of gratification to the ones whose unfortunate experience has turned into a sad story when they know that others have shared a part of their misery and have learned not to make a mistake. It consoles their soul to imagine at least someone else will not have to go through the same pain and has just learned something valuable without experiencing it. So there might not be another unfortunate one!
